DETAILS OF EXPERIENCE IN THE FIELD OF RADIOLOGY DURING THE RESIDENCY PERIOD

1. Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI):

• 2 years experience in MRI with total number of cases 500-600 / month
• Cranial and spinal MRI with experience of advanced pulse sequences like Diffusion (DWI), MR Spectroscopy, MR Angiography, Magnetisation Transfer Imaging.
• Musculoskeletal MRI.
• Abdominal MRI, liver imaging and MRCP
• MRI for gynecological diseases, including adnexal masses and malignancies
• MRI for prostate- evaluation of carcinomas
• CEMRI and CEMRA of aortic, renal and peripheral vascular diseases

2. Computerized Tomography (CT):

• 3 years experience in CT Scan on 16 Slice Helical PHILIPS scanner with total number of 700-800 cases / month
• 3 years experience in CT Scan on 128 Slice Helical SIEMENS scanner with total number of 500-600 cases per month.
• Head and neck scans including HRCT temporal bones, CT PNS, spine 3-D face and neck as well as dental scans.
• Extensive experience on performing, analyzing and reporting of Cardiac CT Angiographies.
• Experience in reporting CT Perfusion imaging in patients with Stroke.
• Quantitative evaluation of Bone Densitometry with CT scan.
• CT angiographies for aortic, coronary artery, renal, cardiovascular diseases
• CT guided procedures including biopsies and drainages.
• Body CT scans including thorax, abdomen, pelvis and HRCT lungs

3. Ultrasonography (USG).

• Ultrasound guided interventional procedures – Fine needle aspirations and biopsies.
• Ultrasound guided percutaneous procedures –abscess drainages, drainage of post operative collections, drainage of post pancreatitis fluid collections viz, pancreatic abscess and chest and abdominal aspirations.
• Obs-Gyn Antenatal Ultrasonography(USG), with experience of wide spectrum of congenital abnormalities detectable on Ultrasound.
• Foetal Doppler.
• Trans-vaginal Ultrasonography (TVS) for various obstetrical and gynecological conditions
• Small parts USG and doppler of thyroid, scrotum, soft tissues etc.
• Sono-mammography for characterization of various breast masses.
• Musculoskeletal ultrasound for rotator cuff tears, erosions in Rheumatoid arthritis.
• Paediatric USG of neonatal and infant brain, GIT, and renal system.
• Routine Ultrasound of approx. OPD cases 150-200 / week
• Ultrasound of inpatients admitted in various wards (200-250 / week)

4. Color Doppler

• Doppler sonography of arterial and venous system of upper and lower extremities.
• Carotid Doppler in patients of stroke and systemic atherosclerotic diseases.
• Renal doppler for renal parenchymal diseases and reno-vascular hypertension.
• Doppler assessment of Dialysis access fistulas.
• Post renal transplant Doppler.
• Doppler for hepatic veins, IVC in cases of Budd-Chiari Syndromes
• Obstetric Doppler in patients of IUGR and fetomaternal distress.
• Total number of cases approx.30-35 cases per week
